The Kimley-Horn project altered an existing building within the Historic Parks-Cramer Company Complex. Elements of the design included new interior walls, carpet, office systems, conference rooms and incorporating the existing wood brick flooring, shared halls, brick walls and arched brick doorways. New walls were kept to a maximum height of 9' in the open office area to take advantage of the natural light coming from the existing clearstory windows.
Working closely with our client and the Mecklenburg County Historic Commission to ensure the project would protect the original quality of the building, the review process and construction was a seamless transition for this project.
